Business Card or Scent Tester Strip?

The advent of a number of bacon-scented sprays has blurred the lines between traditional business card and scent tester strip.  BWBacon Group is pushing the envelope by eliminating any ambiguity, with our all new bacon-scented business cards.

Of course, in order to catch a whiff, you’ll have to shake hands and bring the charm – they don’t come easy, and are not recommended for the faint of heart.

Disclaimer:  possessing one of our cards will make you hungry to work with BWBacon Group.

What We Look Like Making Recruiting Calls

I wish I was kidding.  We love recruiting like JoJo Cookin’ loves Fridays.

Vegan Ipsum, Minor Interesting Quam Bacon

My Latin is old and moldy, but you get the idea.

While bacon is certainly our prime mover here at BWBacon Group, we thought it only fair and prudent to provide a follow-up to last week’s Bacon Ipsum post, with a link to a complementary site for the herbivores in the house, Vegan Ipsum.

Lentils, grains and legumes are an empirically less compelling filler than prime rib and tenderloin, but it all goes to the same place.

Enjoy, friends!

Lorem Ipsum Too Bland?

Try the Bacon Ipsum generator and give your design some substance!

Sure, Latin is lovely and no one knows what the hell it means, but why use empty filler when you can inject your design with some hot meat?  Thanks to BWBacon consultant, Jason Walker, for the hearty recommendation.

Meet Debbie, Our Cat Recruiter

You should hear me talk about Mobile App Developers… trainwreck.  I just want a house full of them.  And I just want us to roll around.

ColdFusion needed. Nuclear electrochemistry background optional.

You don’t have to be Martin Fleischmann to bring ColdFusion to the BWBacon world.  In fact, if you are Martin Fleischmann, you’re probably too old to do our ColdFusion work.  No offense, Martin – if you think you’ve got the chops, bring it.

So I’m not like a total expert, don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure the 21st century ColdFusion process works something like this (it’s called a “calorimeter” for the simpletons):

DIY Bacon!

Bacon: the perfect answer to the timeless Father’s Day dilemma.  Remember how much dad pretended to like your homemade gifts when you were little?  Now, imagine that enthusiasm is sincere.  Now it can be, friends.

The clock is ticking – curing your own bacon takes around seven days, start-to-finish.  So turn off the Playstation (you’re thirty-two years old, man!), head to the butcher shop and get your pork belly on.  Then follow these directions, so kindly prepared by our neighbors to the great white north, The Canadian Press.

Just consider all the vices dad has had to give up through the years, and spare him the peerless pleasure of grease-fried, cholesterol-laden, home-cured bacon, courtesy of his favorite progeny.  Really want to garner dad’s favor this year?  Forget the wrapping paper and enlist the help of the neighbor lady to showcase the fruits of your labor!

BWBacon: Proud Supporter of Playing for Change

BWBacon Group is grateful to be associated with Playing for Change and, along with the rest of the planet, we are relishing the PFC 2: Songs Around the World album, released Tuesday and available at Starbucks, iTunes, Amazon and other major music retailers.  Not only is the music moving, but it does phenomenal things by bringing people together through the power of music and working to build music and art schools for children around the world.

Congratulations also to our very own Dave Bacon (and his wife, Heather), whose names appear in the liner notes alongside the likes of The Marley Family, The Kroenke Family, Jimmy Buffett, Keb’Mo’, Jackson Browne, Yoko Ono, and many others who have been involved with Playing for Change since its early days, and have made significant contributions to the ongoing success of this extraordinary organization.

Go out and buy the CD/DVD.  For a modest $13, it will be the best money you’ve spent on music (or anything else) in a long time.
