About David Bacon
Managing Director
An award-winning sales and management professional with 15 years experience at solving complex customer solutions, exceeding revenue goals, managing project teams and leading recruiting functions, David Bacon has been a key player at major consultancy firms throughout his career.  Placing an extraordinarily high value on relationships, he fuses professionalism with a personal connection, providing exceptional customer service and collecting clients for life. Dave has a B.S. in Business from Syracuse University, with a minor in Supply Chain Management.

Dave is the Executive Producer of Playing for Change International, is on the board of the O’Brien School for the Maasai and is a National Ski Patrol member. He’s passionate about family, live music, world travel and of course, the smell of Bacon in the morning.

About Marty Katz
Senior Recruiter
Marty has over 20 years of highly successful recruiting and recruiting management experience in both corporate and consulting environments. He has been a major contributor in the building of several large consulting companies from the ground up both as a hands-on recruiter and as a leader of small and large recruiting teams. He is a strong relationship builder with an honest and ethical recruiting approach that often creates lifetime connections with his candidates. By approaching his work with this level of dedication, Marty provides both outstanding career opportunities for his candidates and the best available talent within budget for his clients.

Marty is originally from New York and has lived in Colorado for over 30 years, moving here after graduation from Stony Brook University. He is an avid golfer and is passionate about live music, good food, family, sports and on occasion, good Tequila.

About Mike Henninger
Senior Recruiter
Mike brings with him more than 14 years of recruiting industry experience. He has had the opportunity to work with some of the best well-known and not-so-well-known companies in Denver and throughout the United States and to provide them with superior talent. His experience expands across corporate, contract, and agency recruiting where he brings a very personable, yet, professional side to the table. Mike comes back to BWBacon after a year long hiatus where he successfully recruited some of the best software engineers in the world for Google’s New York City office.

Although not a Denver native, Mike is a proud pseudo-native, as he has spent all of his adulthood and most of his younger years in Colorado. He graduated from Regis Jesuit High School, received a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado- Boulder (GO BUFFS!) and currently lives in Denver with his wife Kristin and two kids, Mia and Charlie. He loves fly-fishing, snowboarding, golf, reading, and time with his family.

About Leah Backes
Technical Recruiter Coordinator/Office Manager
Leah joins the team as the Operations Manager/Consultant Advocate/Technical Recruiter Manager/”Jack of all trades” aficionado at BWBacon. Leah’s prior experience includes being a Technical Recruiter at a few small IT staffing firms, an Executive Administrator and a Customer Advocate at a Global Test and Measurement company. Being able to connect with clients and consultants on a personal level is one of her biggest strengths.

Leah takes pride in being a 3 rd generation Colorado native. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School and CU Boulder before graduating from Regis University. In her free time, Leah enjoys all things related to cooking…reading cooking magazines, watching all the cooking shows, and trying new recipes. She also loves being outside in the beautiful Colorado scenery with her husband and two young children. Leah is passionate about entertaining family and friends, great food, amazing wine, local sports teams (especially the CU Buffs), and taking advantage of all that Colorado has to offer.

About Jason Pugh
CFO
Jason has over 15 years of public and private sector financial management experience, where he has managed funding for large programs, conducted financial analyses, budgeting, revenue projections, strategic planning and much more. He brings with him ten years of experience at the White House’s Office of Management and Budget where he was responsible for a portfolio of programs, including everything from procuring Apache helicopters to managing contributions for UN peacekeeping operations across the globe. He is an experienced teacher, having taught graduate level finance and economics courses at the University of Colorado, Denver, and served a stint in the Peace Corps in Africa. Jason is an entrepreneur at heart, and is also the founder of a successful retail web ecommerce company. He is adept at web technologies and financial management of small business, and can rip turns on our finest Rocky mountains, a combination making him the perfect fit for BWBacon! Jason has a BA from DePauw University and an MPA in Public Finance from Indiana University.

About Jacklynn Pham

With her interdisciplinary interests in communication, social media, and design, Jacklynn offers a unique perspective to any environment she is placed. Her drive to apply her skills has led to past experience in graphic design, web & social media content management, and marketing. She is a creative and critical thinker whose sincere commitment to her work has been recognized professionally, academically, and artistically.

Jacklynn was born and raised in Nebraska and attended the University of Wyoming for her undergraduate education where she studied English, graphic design, and professional writing. She is passionate about new media, writing, reading, cooking, going on outdoor adventures, her friends, and her family.

    Dave is great! He found me a really good contract position with a leading private company in Denver and helped manage serious turmoil in the client as his team tried to help the client survive. Client budget problems led to terminations, including mine, but Dave turned to and is helping us all find new positions. I don’t quite have my new position at the time of this writing, but Dave is wheeling and dealing to make this happen. It’s Better with Bacon.
